Nestlé Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Youth Development Program (AYDP)
Our flagship RAP program
The Nestlé Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Youth Development Program (AYDP) started in 2010 as we began to support the flagship Girls Academy program run by Role Models and Leaders Australia. Through the course of this ten-year partnership, Nestlé partnered with Girls Academy on an extensive range of programs to support the development and education of the girls within the program, develop the program’s leaders, and expand the reach of the program.
Today, the Nestlé nutrition program, Fuelling an Energised Life, lies at the heart of the Nestlé AYDP and aims to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander youth in developing healthy lifestyle habits. Activities have included the Mother Daughter Cooking Program, 101 nutrition lesson plans and the Maggi Mystery Box Cooking Challenge, as well as our more recent partnership with Aboriginal Accredited Practicing Dietitian, Tracy Hardy, to explore and promote the taste and nutritional benefits of bush foods.
Nestlé is committed to continuing support of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander youth and is working with several organisations to deliver this support.
