Our Reconciliation Action Plan
Nestlé’s Journey, by Brooke Sutton, Kalkadoon
Nestlé Australia acknowledges the First Peoples – the Traditional Owners of the lands where we live and work. We recognise their continuing connection to land, water and community. We respect and honour Elders past and present.
Nestlé Australia’s journey towards reconciliation began in 2010 with the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Youth Development Program Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Youth Development Program (AYDP) .In 2021, we launched our Reflect Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP), voicing our commitment to strengthening relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples and communities. In 2023, we announced the next stage of our reconciliation journey with the launch of our Innovate RAP. Looking ahead, we are dedicated to deepening our partnerships, fostering greater understanding, and creating lasting positive change for First Nations communities across Australia.
What Reconciliation Means to Us
Reconciliation is more than a commitment - it’s a shared journey. At Nestlé, we believe food has the power to bring people together, spark conversations and honour culture.
We’ve created a video that shares Nestlé’s reflections on reconciliation. It explores what reconciliation means to us, highlighting our commitment to cultural learning, youth empowerment and the belief that real change begins with individuals, building toward collective transformation:
Our Artwork: A Visual Story of Reconciliation
Our RAP artwork, created by Kalkadoon artist Brooke Sutton, tells the story of Nestlé’s reconciliation journey. It features symbols representing our employees, purpose pillars, and commitment to listening to First Nations People and community. The artwork is proudly displayed across our sites as a daily reminder of our shared purpose. Find out more about our RAP artwork here.
