Nespresso
Now anyone can craft barista-style coffee
Beans from 122,000 farmers in 15 countries, brought to you with care
For a long time, great coffee went hand-in-hand with mastery of large, complex espresso machines. In 1986, our pioneering spirit found another way based on a simple idea: allow everyone to create barista-quality coffee at home. The first Nespresso machine was born, along with four signature Nespresso capsules.
Since then, we've brought our expertise to millions of coffee lovers. From our first machine to our latest Vertuo system, every Nespresso innovation has brought even more of the barista experience into homes and businesses around the world.
With this progress comes responsibility. For over 30 years, we've believed every cup of Nespresso should have a positive impact. We call it The Positive Cup. It covers everything from helping to improve coffee farmers' livelihoods and protecting biodiversity, to protecting our coffee with infinitely recyclable aluminum.

Coffee can be a force for good
We hold ourselves to a higher standard, and that means working with leaders in sustainability. Experts from the Rainforest Alliance, Sustainable Agriculture Network (SAN) and Nespresso developed our farm management guidelines. It's the bedrock of what we call 'sustainable quality'.
We also make it easy for consumers to recycle their capsules, with over 100,000 collection points. We even invite other portioned coffee brands to share our recycling system.
