Taking place on 2 November, the Feline Feast will offer exclusive lunch and dinner sittings to give cat owners and lovers the chance to experience considered, multi-sensory dining, with a few nods to elevated feline moments. Bookings are now open via www.nelrestaurant.com.au/the-feline-feast, , with limited spaces available.

The experience marks the launch of Fancy Feast Gems, a new pyramid mousse pâté, topped with savoury gravy and served through a signature 'Peel. Flip. Reveal’ ritual - designed to make cats everyday mealtimes feel more special.

Fancy Feast research* found over half (60%) Aussie cat owners consider their cat the toughest food critic in their household. It also highlights just how important mealtime has become to the relationship between cats and their owners, with over half (55%) describing it as one of their most meaningful daily rituals and (58%) one of their favorite interactions with their cat. The Feline Feast brings that shared ritual to life in a new way, inviting cat lovers to experience a specially created dining occasion of their own.

Cat Behaviourist Expert, Saba Vasconcelos said the Fancy Feast research findings reflect the important role mealtime can play in the relationship between cats and their owners.

“Owners may joke that their cats are eating better than they are, but there’s something deeper about cat behaviour behind it. Feeding is one of the primary ways people care for their cats, so shape, texture and routine can all play a role in how cats experience their food and the bonding moment. It’s no surprise owners are putting more thought into creating mealtimes their cats will enjoy.”

That care is translating into increasingly elevated dining habits, with 40% of cat owners regularly introducing new flavours or textures to keep mealtimes interesting.

Purina Australia Head of Marketing Mel Chen said “Fancy Feast Gems is about turning an everyday feeding moment into something special. Working with Chef Nelly on The Feline Feast allowed us to flip that idea on its head and give cat lovers the chance to also experience their own elevated food moments which cats can now enjoy with the launch of Fancy Feast Gems.”

Fancy Feast Gems is a pyramid mousse pâté topped with savoury gravy, with unique pyramid packaging design, made to create an elevated sensory mealtime experience for cats. Its signature Peel. Flip. Reveal. format brings an element of ritual to everyday feeding.
