As “6-7” is crowned Australia’s family word of the year1, ahead of terms like "No Cap", "Delulu" and "Aura", the Uncle Tobys Roll-Ups team is turning the new lingo into lunchbox fun, with a new range of playful, trend-inspired tongue prints.
The launch comes as new research from Uncle Tobys reveals many Aussie parents are struggling to keep up with their kids’ ever-changing language. More than half (63%)2 of parents say they don’t understand the lingo their children use, while 40%3 say they’ve had to ask their child to explain modern slang.
Inspired by the language shaping childhood in 2026, the new Roll Ups feature the top words as easy to transfer, edible tongue prints designed for a playful connection within Aussie families.
Uncle Tobys Marketing Manager, Jessica Barnes said "Every generation has its own language, and right now kids are having fun with phrases like ‘6-7’ and ‘No cap’. With the new Roll Up tongue prints, we’re giving families a fun way to get in on the conversation.
"Roll Ups have always been about imagination, and this launch brings that spirit into today’s culture – with a nostalgic snack Aussie parents grew up with, reimagined for the next generation.”
To keep the fun going, Uncle Tobys is inviting Roll Ups fans to vote on the next tongue print design. Fans can visit the Uncle Tobys Instagram and share your suggestions in the comments.
