2010

Nestlé Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Youth Development Program (AYDP) developed. Supporting Girls Academy to develop and empower Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander girls through their in-school mentoring and leadership program, the program focused on nutrition education initiatives such as the Mother Daughter Cooking Program

2012

Volunteering program began with Tamworth Local Aboriginal Land Council

2015

Volunteering program began with Macleay Vocational College in Kempsey

2017

Nescafé limited edition artwork tins were designed by Kuku-Yalanji man Jeremy Donovan

Nestlé celebrated their first NAIDOC Week event. A local Elder hosted a Welcome to Country and spoke to employees about Reconciliation. Employees were invited to bring their children to work to participate in a traditional weaving workshop
  • To commemorate National Reconciliation Week (NRW), an internal communications campaign upskilled our employees on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, histories and culture
  • To celebrate NAIDOC Week, we worked with Jeremy Donovan to create a video series helping to build employee and customer awareness of his creative process on the Nescafé limited edition tin designs
  • Nestlé ran the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artwork competition to celebrate 10 years of Nestlé AYDP. The winner was young Kalkadoon artist Brooke Sutton
  • Jeremy visited the Kepnock Girls Academy in Queensland to run an art workshop as part of the Nestlé AYDP
  • Gamilaroi Dietitian Tracy Hardy worked with the Cooking Milks team to create native ingredient inspired recipes. The booklet ‘Cooking with Native Ingredients of Australia’ was distributed to all Girls Academy students and shared with our recipes.com community
  • Nestlé ran a cultural awareness training pilot with over 50 + employees and all members of the senior leadership team undertook this training
  • To commemorate National Reconciliation Week (NRW), we were joined by an Elder from a cultural learning organisation to gain a deeper understanding the 2021 NRW theme and understand how we can all be better allies
  • Nestlé launches their Reflect Reconciliation Action Plan during NAIDOC Week
  • To celebrate NAIDOC Week and the launch of the RAP, we invited Jeremy Jeremy Donovan as the keynote speaker. With a beautiful backdrop of the red land of the Kimberley region, Jeremy shared with us his personal story and deepened our understanding of First Nations Peoples and the importance of Country.  Jeremy also treated us to a beautiful didgeridoo performance
