The Nestlé Cocoa Plan is our way of helping tackle key issues facing cocoa farmers, their families and communities in order to create a better future for cocoa farming. It covers all aspects of a cocoa bean’s journey, starting with farmers and ending with you, the consumer.

In October 2009 Nestlé committed to investing over $110m in the Nestlé Cocoa Plan to help improve the livelihood of farmers and their communities and enhance the sustainability and quality of cocoa for generations to come.

Nestlé Australia is the first major chocolate manufacturer in Australia to source all the cocoa for its retail confectionery business from certified sustainable cocoa producers working with the Nestlé Cocoa Plan.

The sustainable production of cocoa purchased for use in Australia is certified by independent certifying body, UTZ.
