To celebrate World Baking Day on 17 May, Nestlé has teamed up with some of Australia’s favourite chefs to encourage budding home bakers to get creative in the kitchen.

Four bakers known for their delightful creations have developed unique recipes for fans to replicate at home incorporating their favourite treats from KitKat, Allen’s or Milkybar. They will also use premium baking essentials from Plaistowe and Bakers’ Choice to create their masterpiece.

Joining the World Baking Day campaign are Aussie legends Elise Strachan (@mycupcakeaddiction) and Donna Hay (@donnahaymagazine), both lauded for their artistic creations and decadent desserts. Insta-famous sibling duo, Joey and Sally Saliba (@dessertsbyjoey), and self-proclaimed novice baker Andres Fatso (@bakedbyandres), have also thrown their chefs’ hats into the ring to craft picture-perfect trendy treats.

Donna Hay (@donnahaymagazine) created the KitKat Cookies and Cream Layer Cake inspired by the KitKat Cookies and Cream block.

Cake decorating extraordinaire and host of ‘The Sweet Life’ on SBS, Elise Strachan (@mycupcakeaddiction), will be producing the Allen’s Lollies Banana Split Party Boats featuring favourites from the much-loved Allen’s Lollies range this Saturday. Full recipe in appendix.

Nestlé Head of Marketing Confectionery Joyce Tan said: “Over the last couple of months, we’ve seen a significant number of baking enthusiasts put on their apron and perfect that banana bread or cupcake recipe. So, ahead of World Baking Day this Sunday, we have decided to take it up a notch and inspire all the home bakers out there. We tasked a talented group of chefs to create four spectacular inventions using some of the most-loved baking products and treats in Nestlé’s pantry.

“We’ve been blown away by the masterpieces and we’re excited to see everyone at home imitate these easy-to-make yet superbly satisfying sweet treats!” Tan added.

To help create the sweet treats, a range of Nestlé items such as KitKat, Allen’s, Milkybar, Bakers’ Choice, Plaistowe, and Nestlé Sweetened Condensed Milk are available from Coles, Woolworths, Big W, Independent and convenience stores.
