Feline the Valentine’s Day love? Celebrate with New Zealand’s first Valentine’s Day Cat Hotel

To celebrate the bond between cat lovers and their furry friends, Fancy Feast® has launched New Zealand’s first Valentine’s Day Cat Hotel in a competition for the most love-filled time of year.

Fancy Feast research shows majority of Kiwi cat owners (82%) wish they could spend more time with their cats and a quarter admitting they would rather spend time with their cat than their significant other [1]. Most (68%) Kiwi cat owners believe their cats show love by sleeping by their owners at night [1], so what better way to enjoy quality time with your cat than with a night of luxury hotel indulgence?

The Fancy Feast Valentine’s Day Cat Hotel competition will see a devoted cat-lover receive an overnight staycation for two (with their furry friend) at the luxury, pet-friendly Swiss-Belsuites Victoria Park in Auckland, enjoying premium in-room dining, a perfect pamper session and special gifts.

Mark White, Head of Marketing at Purina New Zealand elaborates, “Research has shown 84% of New Zealand cat owners have regular conversations with their cat[1] and 74% consider them to be a member of the family[2]. Fancy Feast are thrilled to celebrate this special bond with cats, offering an experience that celebrates this companionship.”

Matthias Schulz, Regional Director of Sales & Marketing - Australia and New Zealand at Swiss-Belhotel International comments, “We understand finding pet friendly accommodation can be a tricky task. We’re proud to welcome guests and their four-legged companions at our luxury rooms and suites in Auckland, Queenstown and Napier and are excited to partner with Fancy Feast® to bring the Cat Hotel to life.”

Proud cat-mum, actress and author Kim Crossman is partnering with Fancy Feast® to launch the cat hotel experience. Kim says, “The bond I feel with cats is like no other. I can’t think of a better way to spend special time with my furry friend than in a fancy hotel - taking naps, eating well and getting pampered by Fancy Feast.’’
