How is Nestlé responding to global ingredient shortages?

Over 70% of the world’s sunflower oil comes from Russia and Ukraine. As a result, there is a global shortage of sunflower oil.

This means that we have not been able to buy enough sunflower oil to meet our production needs. In some instances, we have substituted sunflower oil so that we can continue to make sure you can still buy your favourite products.

Sunflower oil may be substituted with palm oil (RSPO segregated) or canola oil.

What does this mean for your favourite product?

  • In all cases, the allergens listed on pack are unchanged
  • In some instances, the product’s nutritional profile may change – however, as the packaging will not change, please contact us should you wish to discuss this.

Importantly, the change in the ingredient has not changed the taste, texture and appearance you know and love.

Product ranges affected:

  • Nestlé Milo cereals
  • Uncle Tobys Breakfast Bakes
  • Uncle Tobys Cheerios
  • Uncle Tobys Goodness Bowl Tasty Flakes – Honey and Almonds
  • Uncle Tobys muesli bars
  • Uncle Tobys Roll-ups
