Beef Stroganoff
Beef Stroganoff with Rice



Recipe Ingredients
(serves 4)

2 tbsp olive oil
500 g lean beef strips
1 clove garlic, crushed
1 onion, chopped
100 g mushrooms, sliced
1 tbsp tomato paste, no added salt
2 tsp MAGGI Beef Stock Powder
375 mL CARNATION Light & Creamy Evaporated Milk
1 tbsp corn flour
cooked rice, to serve

How to Make

1. Heat oil in pan, add beef, brown evenly, remove from pan.

2. Add garlic, onion and mushrooms to pan, cook 2 minutes.

3. Add combined remaining ingredients, bring to boil stirring. Stir in beef, simmer 3 minutes, stir occasionally. Serve with cooked rice.

To rapid boil rice: in a large saucepan, bring 2 litres water to the boil and add 1 cup rice. Boil uncovered, 12-15 minutes for white rice and 25-30 minutes for brown or wild rice. Remove a few grains, cool and taste to check if cooked. When ready, drain rice in a colander and serve. This method is best for fried rice and rice used in bakes.
