Fast Facts - Singles with Vitality

The single life can involve a whirlwind of social engagements, work or study commitments, and sport. So, when singles finally do have a night in, there's often little motivation to cook for one.
Nestlé, through its association with the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS), recognises that singles need a good nutrient intake to support their vigorous lives.

Andrea Brakkhuis, a dietitian at the AIS, says singles need to make smart choices to avoid missing out on vital nutrients. Meals should be based on lean protein sources, low-fat dairy foods, vegetables and a carbohydrate source. Learn some basic dishes such as soup, pasta, risotto or stir-fry. These are all quick options and with a little creativity can easily be varied to keep life interesting. Make good use of the freezer to ensure meals are always readily at hand.
