The Nestlé Community Environment Program is an initiative to help improve the Australian environment. It is part of the Nestlé Good Life Program, which is a group of Nestlé community programs designed to help improve the lives and wellbeing of all Australians.
Across the fourteen Nestlé sites in Australia, nearly $900,000 will be committed to local environmental projects over the next three years. The program is also being rolled out by Nestlé New Zealand.
The Nestlé Community Environment Program aims to have a positive impact in the communities in which the company operates, through the support of projects that assist the environment in that local area. As part of this program, every Australian Nestlé factory and distribution centre undertakes an annual community project focusing on improving the local environment.
Nestlé sites liaise with local authorities as well as community and environment groups, to find suitable projects each year. Nestlé staff and members of the local community participate in many of these projects.
